Benchmarks

We lined the Mesh up against some recent competitors that we've tested in the bit-tech labs over the past couple of months. The Scan Isotope has an overclocked 3800+ processor, 2GB of fast Corsair memory in dual channel and a pair of 7900 GTs. The Alienware Aurora has 2GB of generic memory and a pair of 7900 GTXs, along with an FX-60 processor. The bit-tech reference system has a stock 3800+ processor and 2GB of OCZ dual channel memory, along with a single 7800 GT, and is more in the same price range as the Mesh system on test here.




Although this is our comparison resolution, it's clear that the X1800 GTO can't quite handle this kind of setting! It's far more suited to running the 1280x960 resolution that the included monitor supports.

Most Wanted is processor and memory limited, even at this high resolution, which leaves our top-end graphics cards looking much-of-a-muchness.



Dropping down to a resolution that a) fits on the included monitor and b) is more suitable for the capbilities of the graphics card, we have much more playable settings that most gamers will be happy with. This just goes to show the good thinking that has gone into Mesh's well-balanced configuration.
